„sama recordings pres. s c h w e b e n“ evenings rub against the often closely meshed interfaces between avantgarde pop, electronic music and experimental music trends of the 1970s and 1980: beguiling kraut excursions, organic club music, uplifting ambient drones & gripping rarities to dance to: profound musical realities from different angles that will inspire you.

ARTIST INFOS
Lydia Lunch (US)
Lydia Lunch is passionate, confrontational and bold. Wheater attacking the patriarchay and their pornographic war mongering, turning the sexual into the politcial or whispering a love song to the broken hearted, her fierce energy and rapid fire delivery lend testament to her warrior nature. Queen of No Wave, muse of the Cinema of Transgression, writer, musician, poet, spoken word artist and photogapher, she has released too many musical projects to tally, has been on tour for decades, has published dozens of articles, half a dozen of books and simply refuses to shut up. She performs in a variety of mediums, is a rabid collaborator and continues to release new music as well as re-issuing classic material from her vast catalogue of written and musical works. Since 2019 she has been hosting the Lydian Spin a weekly podcast that features musicians, artists, writers and filmmakers in conversation. Her decades long career is the subject of „The War Is Never Over“, a feature length documentary by Beth B.
Her exclusive spoken word performance is supported by Bundesministerium für Kunst, Kultur, öffentlicher Dienst und Sport.
Subletvis (AT)
Subletvis is the online moniker of sound artist and composer Mo Nahold. His work focuses on digital alienated aesthetics, various electroacoustic methods and multichannel approached composition techniques in specialized environments. Abstract sound encounters stand in contrast to conventional rhythmic structures and harmonic content, in order to close gaps between sound aesthetics of different musical convictions. Nahold has released music on Ventil Records, Parken and Denovali.

BYDL
Sandro Nicolussi is a driven journalist, podcaster, activist, photographer, DJ, musician and multimedia artist. Since the release of his debut EP on the Ternär label, the restless musician has recorded releases on Vienna Underground Traxx, Cykel Records and as his own publications. BYDL’s music happens in the field of tension between ambient, drone, techno and breakbeat and always follows an experimental approach and the use of unusual sound production (tape loops, experimental synthesizers, electroacoustic and electromagnetic field sensors).
