Digitale Kunst Party / UNNECESSARY FLEX
An interactive rave-performance by the students of Klasse Digitale Kunst / Digital Arts class of Angewandte. Reflections on the interpersonal relationships and regenerative function of recreational rhythmic movement and substance consumption for the working body in late capitalism are mediated by grammatics of new media, such as of digital sound reproduction and photonic morphologies. Sourcing from a vast archive of postmodern urban cultural and musical traditions and dissecting commercial popular culture, an engaging collaborative experience is created within the black box, deconstructing the power dynamics between audience and stage.
